Business consulting that replaces guesswork with evidence

Most owners already know something is off. Revenue stalls, margins shrink, good staff leave. We find the specific causes and build a fix you can actually execute, not a 90-page report that sits in a drawer.

Four steps, no mystery

Every engagement follows the same structure. You know what happens, when it happens, and what it costs before we start.

1

Diagnostic week

We spend five working days inside your operation. We interview staff at every level, review your financials from the last three years, and map your core processes end to end. By Friday you get a written diagnostic with the three to five issues that matter most, ranked by financial impact.

2

Recommendation workshop

A half-day session with your leadership team. We present the diagnostic findings, debate priorities, and agree on a scope of work. Nothing gets added without your sign-off. The workshop usually runs on the Monday after the diagnostic.

3

Implementation sprint

Depending on scope, this lasts eight to twelve weeks. We work alongside your people, not instead of them. Typical deliverables include revised pricing models, restructured team roles, renegotiated supplier contracts, or a new cash-flow forecasting process. We track progress against the financial targets set in step two.

4

Handover and review

We document everything we changed, train the people who will maintain it, and schedule a 90-day check-in at no extra charge. If the agreed targets have not been met, we extend the sprint at our cost.

What we actually do

Operational review

We trace every pound from the moment it enters your business until it leaves. Where is money leaking? Which processes take twice as long as they should? You get a costed list of fixes, not vague advice about "efficiency."

Growth planning

Expanding into a new market, launching a product line, or opening a second location: we model the numbers, identify the risks, and build a 12-month plan with monthly milestones. Our plans include cash-flow projections, hiring timelines, and break-even dates.

Financial restructuring

When cash is tight, decisions get emotional. We bring structure: renegotiating debt terms, restructuring payment schedules, identifying which costs to cut first and which to protect. We have worked with businesses carrying between £80k and £4m in problematic debt.

Leadership coaching

Running a company is lonely. Our coaching programme pairs you with a consultant who has managed P&L responsibility in businesses of similar size. Fortnightly 90-minute sessions, focused on the decisions you are actually facing that month.

Pricing strategy

Most Scottish SMEs we meet are undercharging by 12 to 20 percent. We analyse your competitor landscape, customer willingness to pay, and cost structure to set prices that your market will bear and your margins need.

Clarity Driven Solutions consulting team in an Edinburgh office

Started in 2017 with one question

Why do consultants write reports instead of fixing things? That question led two former operations directors to leave corporate life and start Clarity Driven Solutions. We wanted a firm that stayed until the numbers moved.

Seven years on, the team has grown to nine. We work almost exclusively with Scottish businesses turning over between £1m and £25m. That focus means we understand the specific funding landscape, supply chains, and labour market realities you deal with every day.

Our office sits at 6 The Coppice, Great Greeningham, Scotland, TV2 0FK, but most of our time is spent on your premises. That is where the real information lives.

Common questions

The diagnostic week is a flat £3,200 plus VAT. Implementation sprints are priced per week, typically between £2,800 and £4,500 depending on complexity. We quote a fixed total before work begins, so there are no surprise invoices.

Occasionally, if the sector is one we know well. About 85 percent of our clients are based between Edinburgh and Aberdeen. That geographic concentration is deliberate: it lets us be on site within a few hours when something urgent comes up.

Manufacturing, professional services, food and drink production, and construction. We have also completed projects in hospitality and renewable energy, though those are less frequent. If your sector is outside this list, the clarity call is a good place to find out whether we can help.

Every engagement starts with two or three financial targets agreed in the recommendation workshop. These might be a margin improvement of X percent, a reduction in debtor days, or a revenue increase in a specific product line. We track them monthly and report against them at handover.

A 30-minute phone or video call, free of charge. We ask about your business size, the problem you are trying to solve, and your timeline. You ask us whatever you like. By the end we both know whether a diagnostic week makes sense. No pitch deck, no pressure.
